Rocheport has a reputation as a great place for food and wine lovers -- with good reason. Spend a weekend in one of our three world-class bed and breakfasts (including a gourmet breakfast each morning, of course) and enjoy what we have to offer.
For a unique experience, attend a cooking class offered by Two in the Kitchen Cooking School and Catering operated by partners Dixie Yates of Yates House and Chef Mary Schlueter of the Amber House. There are many menus and class subjects to choose from or a class can be designed just for your group.
Les Bourgeois Winery sponsors their Annual Collectors Series Wine Release and Art Show in April. Every fall they hold a "crush festival" on their grounds in conjunction with Rocheport's Annual Wine Stroll -- a chance to sample wines from several local wineries as you tour the town. (With a weekend stay at one of the luxury bed and breakfasts receive two commemorative wine glasses and complimentary admission to the wine stroll.)
Rocheport is proud of its two upscale restaurants -- the Les Bourgeois Winery Bistro and Abigail's. The Bistro offers gorgeous views and cuisine prepared by their award winning chef. Abigail's, in the historic downtown area, has a fun and eclectic atmosphere. The menu by its creative young chef changes daily. You will want to have dinner at both during your weekend stay -- and both restaurants are also opened for lunch.
For more casual fare, try the charming Rocheport General Store, offering light lunches, snacks, and fabulous ice cream. The Les Bourgeois A-Frame outdoor wine garden offers wonderful views of the River. Sip a glass of wine and try a panini sandwich from their new menu. Another great spot for a casual lunch is the Trailside Café and Bike Shop -- famous for their buffalo burgers. Don't miss Amy's Cookie Kitchen for a gourmet treat.
Be sure to stop by the Winery Vineyard and Boutique during your stay for a tour, wine tasting and to pick up a food and wine gift basket or some of your favorite Les Bourgeois wine to take home.
